CEO

Dr. Nicolas Laing

Nick is a Public Health Doctor with over 10 years experience managing rural health centres in Northern Uganda. He first became passionate about truly unreached areas, after seeing the huge numbers of rural citizens in Northern Uganda not covered by either the private or public healthcare system.

Nick co-founded OneDay Health with Emma and Pranav, to provide high quality, accessible, primary healthcare to people living in these healthcare "black holes". With a medical degreee from the University of Otago, a post graduate Diploma in Tropical Medicine from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and and a Master's in Public Health from Cambridge University, along with over ten years living and working in Northern Uganda providing healthcare to remote rural patients, Nick has first-hand insight into what is required to make affordable, high quality, sustainable, primary healthcare accessible to those who would otherwise have no good healthcare options.

Nick and Emma have launched 50 OneDay Health centres which have treated over 300,000 patients. Nick is excited about growing the OneDay Health model to over 100 centres in Uganda and sharing the model with other countries.
